2024 is the year of the XXIII Cerveira International Art Biennial. Between July 20 and December 30, under the theme “Are you Free?”, Vila Nova de Cerveira will host this event dedicated to contemporary artistic production to present 160 works by 120 artists from 20 countries.
Marking its 46th anniversary, the oldest art biennial on the Iberian Peninsula invites artists, thinkers and the public to reflect on the theme of Freedom, problematizing issues associated with the democratic values won in the April 1974 Revolution and on which the historical and cultural legacy of the Cerveira International Art Biennial, whose origins date back to 1978, is based.

2024 é ano de XXIII Bienal Internacional de Arte de Cerveira. Entre 20 de julho e 30 de dezembro, sob o tema “És Livre?”, Vila Nova de Cerveira será palco deste evento dedicado à produção artística contemporânea para apresentar 160 obras, de 120 artistas de 20 países.
Assinalando 46 anos, a bienal de arte mais antiga da Península Ibérica convida artistas, pensadores e públicos a refletir em torno do tema da Liberdade, problematizando questões associadas aos valores democráticos conquistados na Revolução de Abril de 1974 e nos quais se alicerça o legado histórico e cultural erigido pela Bienal Internacional de Arte de Cerveira, cuja origem remonta a 1978.
